Barun Sobti and Sanaya Irani, popularly known as Arnav Singh Raizada and Khushi, protagonists of Star Plus’ Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? became household names in quick time!! And recently the duo won the Best Jodi Award at the 11th Indian Telly Awards.

Barun who is busy shooting for his movie was not present at the awards night and Sanaya received his trophy on his behalf!!
Tellychakkar.com caught up with an upbeat Barun who told us, “Yes, it feels great to have got the Best Jodi Award. Sanaya got it home for me, she gave it to me the same night (smiles).”

Ask him about the chemistry he shares with Sanaya, and he shared, “She is very easy going. In fact, we are a very young team and have similar views. Coming to us, Sanaya and I are sincere actors, and we try our best in each shot. You can also say that I am a director’s actor.”

When contacted, Producer Rajesh Chadha, IMRC Entertainment Private Limited stated, “Right from the break of their first promo, we were absolutely sure that we have a winner at hand. Their jodi, their chemistry is mind blowing. We can run the entire episode on their looking into each other’s eyes and I bet it would rate very well (grins). I am so proud of Sanaya and Barun on bagging this coveted title of Jodi at the Indian Telly Awards.”

We tried getting in touch with Sanaya, but she remained unavailable.

Great work, Barun and Sanaya!! You have a long way to go as far as the show goes…

Temperatures are soaring high and if this particular promo is not there in our list how would our list be complete….The latest on air promo of IPKKND hinting on an upcoming consummation track is probably what is the talk of the town……Though its something we have seen a 100 times before (Consummation/Couples getting all cosy in a Hut which is placed in the middle of nowhere) one cannot help but agree that the promo has all the right elements…. Perfect ambiance , perfect breeze, perfect lightnings and the hero and heroine totally in place…..Now what makes the promo a real catch apart from the fact that it has Arnav and Khushi with their consummation seq, is the reason for the makers to show something as substantial as this at this juncture in the show? Is it an act of desperation to top the TRP charts, or is there a solid reason behind this consummation without confession……Well lets see what is in store for us in this story who swears by the line "Nafrat Paas Aane na de, Mohabbat door jaane na de"

And the icing on the cake happens when we get to see two extremely talented actors essaying the role all convincingly. In the past few years, TV screen has seen some of the most endearing couples; be it Armaan-Riddhima or Geet-Maan, all these on-screen love birds are still alive in the hearts of all. Such was their chemistry that the shows were only watched because of the jodis.

While one was wondering if there would ever be another jodi of this kind, 4 Lions gave us all another mesmerizing couple in the form of Arnav and Khushi from Star Plus' Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. The show made Barun Sobti and Sanaya Irani, who play the leads respectively, become household names. It won't be wrong if we say that IPKKND's success and fame stands synonymous to Barun and Sanaya's cracking chemistry. It was just a few days back that we had updated you about the two winning the Best Jodi at Indian Telly Awards. Though the event is all over but looks like people just can't have enough of Arnav-Khushi.

Everyone in town is heard of praising the two and all believe that watching them as a pair on the screen is no less than a delightful treat. Not only on-screen, off-screen too they share a great rapport and this is the reason all of their scenes come so flawless, which is a proof of their sheer professionalism and dedication towards work. Love,love and just love, this was all one could watch out in yesterday's mind-blowing episode of Star Plus' Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon.

Putting aside all the speculations made about the consummation of Arnav (Barun Sobti) and Khushi (Sanaya Irani), we saw the two sharing some adorable and heart winning moments. Arnav's concern and care for Khushi clearly vouched for the unconditional love he has for her. Though their relation might be stained with dark clouds of mistrust but love has always found its way to their hearts.

It was all because of sheer love that Arnav didn't even think twice before handling himself to the kidnappers just to save Khushi from their evil hands. Well, now that Arnav is back in the clutches of those goons, Khushi will yet again start with her hunt of rescuing Arnav.

However, this time around she will have the full support not only from Manorama Mami but even from NK aka Karan Godwan and above all, her Devi Maiyya. Yes, as you must be aware of, post the forceful wedding with Arnav, she had vowed not to ever seek the help from her Devi Maiiya.

But now that she so desperately wants Arnav to be safe and sound, we will see Khushi getting back to the divine and seeking her help. In the coming episodes, Khushi will also come hold of Arnav's passport and visa, which will be under Shyam's (Abhaas Mehta) custody. This will make her believe that Shyam is the real culprit behind and she will churn out a new way of dealing with his evil acts!

With both NK and Devi Maiyya back, let's hope this time there won't be any hinder for Arnav and Khushi's reunion!

Star Plus show ' Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?' has successfully completed a year today. The show commenced its journey exactly a year back and has now paved its way into the hearts of millions of fans across the world.

Fans have empathized with the lead characters Arnav and Khushi and have faithfully walked with their favourite pair through ups and downs. So, what have the producers planned for the cast and crew of the show to commemorate this moment?

Karan Goddwani a.k.a NK will make his comeback in the show and will share the screen space today with Sanaya Irani. We spoke to him and he said- 'All the members of the cast will be here today for the cake cutting. It is really very exciting'.

Akshay Dogra a.k.a Akash Singh Raizada seemed to be in a mischievous mood and demanded nothing less than a party from the production house. He informed us laughing that – 'Hopefully we will get a party that is long due. We will be hounding our producers.'

Daljeet Bhanot a.k.a Anjali Jha was all smiles and took the opportunity to thank all the fans and India-Forums and the viewers worldwide. She was very effusive in her praise and told Tellybuzz that –" Our love and thanks to all the fans and viewers. We have received an overwhelming response from everyone for the past one year. I feel fans deserve an applause too for being avid viewers of our show."

Barun Sobti as all the fans are aware is juggling two projects currently is dividing his time accordingly. Tellybuzz managed to get talk to a very groggy Barun who confirmed that he will be on the sets.

Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon Khushi plans to catch Shyam red handed


Upcoming episodes have stored a lot of drama in Star Plus Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon.

Recent episode showed that Arnav handled himself to the kidnappers just to save Khushi from the evil hands. Arnav is back from the clutches of those goons. Khushi decided to start her hunt of rescuing Arnav.

However, Khushi was about to tell family about Arnav's kidnapping. But, she was warned by kidnappers not to tell anyone about Arnav if she wants to see him alive.

Khushi already had doubts on Shyam behind Arnav's kidnapping, but she could not blame him without any proof.

Now, upcoming episode will show that Khushi will take hold of Arnav's passport and visa from Shyam's (Abhaas Mehta) custody.

This makes clear proof for Khushi that Shyam is the real culprit for the kidnapping of Arnav. Khushi will make a new plan to catch Shyam red handed with his evil acts.

Congratulations and celebrations come in the way of Star Plus’ Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon as the passionate tale of love mingled with hatred completes its one year today i.e. June 6, 2012.

Yes friends, 4 Lion Films’ amazing show aired on Star, has completed its one successful year and is still making hearts beat faster. The one year journey seems to be way too short and gives an impression as if it was just a day before that we all started living our lives with Arnav aka Barun Sobti and Khushi aka Sanaya Irani.

Their love-hate relation has come so long that today they have turned an inseparable part of our life. One can still count the day when we had first set our eyes on the lively, vibrant and jovial Khushi riding a scooter along the roads of Lucknow. And then entered the man, who made all drool over him, with a power in his eyes, authority in his command and the supremacy in his march; our first encounter with the mighty Arnav Singh Rayzada.

It’s not just that the show has won accolade because of the relation showcased between Arnav and Khushi, the other characters too are equally liked. Be it the loving Nani, caring sister Anjali, a bit weird but soft at heart Mamiji, ideal brother Akash, calm and composed Payal, the whole of Gupta family, even Shyam makes his presence felt and of course Lakshmiji and the Prakash brothers; every character has a place in the hearts of all.

Other than the romantic anthem Rabba Ve, it even added some new words to our dictionary like What The…Hello Hi Bye Bye…Hi Re Nandkisore. It is because of the wonderful amalgamation of ideas and creativity that IPKKND enjoys such huge fan following and people feel connected to the characters so closely.

Iss Pyaar Ko... completes a year and more drama to unfold

Star Plus' love story Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon has completed a successful one year. The show was an instant hit with audiences and has managed to uphold its position in the top 10 daily soaps across all GEC's.

To celebrate the occasion, the cast and crew of the show cut a cake together. And to live up to the hype, Iss Pyaar Ko...has some more drama on the anvil.

An elated Barun Sobit shares his experience, "I am very happy about it. In an industry where shows hardly run for four to six months, our show has completed a year. You won't believe it but this is a first for Akshay, Abbas and myself, where our show has successfully completed a year. I think the production house is planning a small get together some time later."

Now for the drama part, there will be twists and turns that will rock the lives of the Raizada family. In the upcoming episodes, Khushi (Sanaya Irani) with the help of Nandkishore (Karan Godwan) and Manorama will finally hunt down Arnav who is kidnapped. They will also come to know that the real culprit behind Arnav's kidnapping is Shyam (Abbhas Mehta).

However, Shyam will do what he best knows and that is to put all the blame on Khushi. Anjali (Daljeet Bhanot) who is expecting at the moment will also get to know about Shyam's evil plans and will suffer a miscarriage.

When contacted, Daljeet Bhanot (Anjali) said, "Even I have heard the same but I can't comment anything on this as we have not yet shot."

I, Me, Myself: Karan Goddwani

When you get talking to Karan Goddwani, you realise he is one of those people you can comfortably chat with like he were an old friend. He puts you at ease with the way he converses with you and he doesnt fail to time and again talk about his gratitude towards his parents and fans!

Having played roles in Odhani and now Chhal-Seh aur Maat where he has various intense shades, Karan has proved himself to be a versatile actor!

As we finished covering our I, Me, Myself with the him, we just knew we had to choose an apt week and time to post it! Now that he has re-entered Iss Pyar ko Kya Naam Doon on popular demand, here are a few more reasons for you fans to know and love your favourite actor better!!

Rangmunch: One thing you are grateful for in life?

Karan: It has to be god’s blessings first then I would say the, Support my mom and dad gave me. Its because of them that I could become an actor. We lived in Spain earlier, and it was only since I wanted to pursue my acting dreams that they shifted base here. What I am able to do today is because of them .. before I finish off with the list, I would also like to mention my fans who have a huge role to play in what I have become today.

Rangmunch: One word or phrase you use a lot...

Karan: I keep saying, Oh god, Kamaal hai… !!!You would notice the same on my shows as well… even NK says it a lot.. Maine zyada kamal ki baat karta nahi hoon, par word use bada karta hoon ( I may not say kamal things all the time, but I use that word kamaal a lot)…

Rangmunch:Do you thank people enough?

Karan: I try to in whichever way I can, whether it is on Facebook, twitter or anywhere else. I always make sure that I respond to audience and dedicate at least half an hour in a day to them! Sometimes they ask for pictures with actors and I try and fulfil their wishes. It feels good to know that they take time to watch you on screen, I hence feel the need to acknowledge that. That’s why when fans come onto the set to meet me as well, I always make it a point to spend time around them and talk to them for a good while.


Rangmunch: One thing you say to wriggle out of situations generally?

Karan: I make some excuse or the other. If my phone rings and I don’t want to attend the call then I either say it was on silent or that I was driving. If I am on the sets, with other actors and co-stars and I, if I have to leave from there, then I say I have to run to the loo. People by now know it is an excuse, and they don’t believe me anymore. Or at times I make a stern face and just say I have to leave for home…

Rangmunch: Who has had the Greatest impact on your life?

Karan: My Mom and dad as I have seen them go though loads of ups, downs and bad things. Whatever I have done in life I have tried to learn from them. My greatest friends are my parents, ever since childhood. I have always been a reserved child. I used to observe people a lot as a child. Many times I would feel lonely while in Spain, and I have learnt loads of things during that process. One can’t wait for tragedies to happen to you. Neither can you take life for granted. A wise person is someone who learns from others mistakes. I don’t take life for granted. I try to stay positive, which is why even the people on my sets like me.

Rangmunch: Are you possessive by nature?

Karan: I am not crazily possessive like they show those psychos in movies who would go beat up people. In fact people around me say, I appear secure and balanced. If I have a car or a mobile, and something happens to them, I would naturally feel bad. There are loads of things in life that you have now and may not have later, so there is no point in holding onto things in life and get all possessive!

Rangmunch: If you received a text from an unknown number right now,how long will you take to revert!

Karan: I would revert immediately depending on what the content of the sms is. (Laughs)

Rangmunch: Do you smile more than you frown?

Karan: Yes!I infact laugh a lot …Akshay(Dogra) infact keeps telling me, Karan stop laughing, why do you laugh for no reason…. Infact if you see Barun and Akshay on the sets, they share a fabulous tuning. They are always laughing and make others laugh as well. Over a period of time we have all become very close. We all go on drives and talk even after our shoots and chill together.

Rangmunch: Do you procrastinate?

Karan: Well….Depends on priority. If I want something, and I want it done, then I try to finish it right there. I don’t even keep for the next day. I am a very impatient guy. Sometimes I am so driven by impulses, especially when it comes to food, I don’t hold back. Even on the sets I keep going off to eat. My parents are sick of me and my sudden urges!

Rangmunch: Do you have a sweet tooth?

Karan: Oh yes a major one. Sanaya and I eat so many chocolates. In fact just last night I was having two chocolates, and Sanaya was like Karan stop it, I don’t want to have so much sweet stuff!

Rangmunch: How much do rumours and negative publicity bother you?

Karan: I would like if I said they dont. You can’t avoid them, but at times, things force you to sit back and wonder, what the hell! There was once this rumour, I was going out with my cousin and the people in my society saw and started spreading wrong news drawing conclusions. I was out with my sister and they were like I was with a girl! At times one has to think before say or do anything! People say good or bad, publicity is publicity, but if you think like a businessman, you might tend to take it practically though that’s not always possible. That way, IPKKND is a very positive show. There is no ego, or issues whatsoever!

Rangmunch: When you fight with a friend, would you make up first or would you wait for the person to make a move?

Karan: I say sorry for no reason! Many times, I just say sorry for the silliest of things like if I miss a call or I cant talk to someone. There are also times when there is no need to say sorry, but I believe saying it would not reduce your importance in anyone’s life. The person I believe is larger than ego! One can forget and move ahead in life!

Rangmunch: Do you enjoy travelling?

Karan: When I was in Spain, we would keep coming to India, I love to travel by planes, airports, cities and everything related to aviation fascinate me. I have seen Belgium, Dubai….Spain and have visited different cities and tried different food.

Rangmunch: How happy are you on a scale of 1-10 right now?

Karan: Ummmm…. I would say nine… because there are some things which are unexpected and unforeseen... you have to wait for them to happen… I would give 1 mark less for all the no’s in life.
