Tanvi Thakkar to enter Colors Madhubala:Ek Ishq Ek Junoon.

Colors’ Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon produced by Abhinav Shukla’s Nautanki Films is all set to welcome Tanvi Thakkar who is currently seen in Sony Entertainment Television’s Desh Ki Beti Nandini.

Will Tanvi be essaying a new character in the show?

Well the answer is NO, Tanvi will be seen playing the character of Sweety who is Bittoo (Indresh Malik) and Leela’s (Swati Anand) daughter. She will be replacing newbie Shweta who was playing the role earlier.

As witnessed in the previous episodes Sweety is just like her mother, but with Madhubala:EIEJ ready to churn out some interesting drama in the forthcoming episodes viewers will see a tinge of grey shade in her character. The character will be bolder than showcased and add more spice to the overall plot.

So what’s the catch?

According to reliable sources Sweety will go on to marry superstar Abhay Kapoor (Gunjan Utreja), shocking the entire Kapoor Family and Madhu (Drashti Dhami) in particular.

Looks like the creatives of this popular drama is gearing up for some interesting track and some amazing drama. Stay tuned and keep watching Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon every Mon-Sat 8:30 PM (IST) only on Colors.

Tanvi is the new Sweety in Madhubala
A new entry is lined up in Madhubala --- Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, produced by Abhinav Shukla's Nautanki Telefilms, to spruce up the drama.
Actress Tanvi Thakkar will play the role of Sweety --- Leelawati (Swati Anand) and Bittu Sharma's (Indresh Malik) daughter. Tanvi has featured in shows like Yeh Ishq Haaye and Miley Jab Hum Tum. The role was originally played by Shweta Vyal.

Says a source associated with the show, "Sweety will become a pivotal character in the upcoming track. While Shweta played the part perfectly, we wanted an even stronger performer to pull it off. It will be interesting for the audiences to see a stronger storyline in Madhubala and stronger characters like Madhu, Tamanna and Sweety."

I see my return to Madhubala as a sign from God: Vivian Dsena

Now it can be told. The real story behind the return of Vivian Dsena to Colors’ Madhubala (Nautanki Telefilms).

Plummeting TRPs and insistent fans forced the serial’s creative team to devise a new method of sneaking Vivian back on the show.

Apparently Vivian who shot to household fame with his volatile edgy character RK was loath to return after his differences with many members of the Madhubala team including his leading lady Drashti Dhami.

Says a source from the show, “Vivian had become larger than the show. And he knows it. The Madhubala team wanted to cut him down to size. They thought they’d be able to get on with the show without Vivian. But the falling TRPs forced them to do a re-think.”

It was decided to immediately bring Vivian back on Madhubala to save the show from shutting down though the creative team and the serial’s writers had no idea initially how and where to fit the actor back in.

Vivian admits he was resurrected on the soap for practical reasons. “Well, I heard the rating had begun to drop after I left. But I don’t want to see myself as a chart-runner or the TRP booster of Madhubala. That’s too much pressure on me and also a little vain. I will say one thing, though. I came back on the show only because the producer Abhinav Shukla asked me to. He was insistent that I return. I couldn’t say no to him. And now my fans are bombarding Abhinav with thanks for my return on various social networking sites and Twitter. He feels stalked.”

Does all this adulation give Vivian a swollen head? “It is actually very sobering. I see my return to Madhubala as a sign from God. He wants me to be part of this show. As long as He wants it no one, not even I, can get me out of Madhubala.”

Vivian has a very different character to play now. “This is the first time ever that an actor has returned to a serial playing a character totally unrelated to the one played earlier. It’s a challenge for me and for the team to fit me in.”

He denies differences with his co-star Drashti Dhami. “We work well together. After that she goes her way I go home to my wife. That’s the way it is. That’s how it should be.”

Vivian, who shot to fame with his volatile edgy character RK in the show, says he was resurrected on the soap for practical reasons.

‘Talent needs time to flourish’

Gunjan Utreja who plays Abhay Kapoor in Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, talks about life on television and off it, and how he’d like to alter them both in more ways than one.

Who is your inspiration while playing Abhay Kapoor?
I don’t look for references while playing a character. I try and bring in my own observations and we discuss it as a team before enacting the whole scene. But yes, in terms of the character, AK has a lot of similarities with Amitabh Bachchan of Deewar — he’s a man who does all the wrong things for the right reasons.

Madhubala has given you more recognition than Aamna Saamna even though you hosted the latter. Comment.
Every show has its own viewership. Being a prime time show, Madhubala is watched more. Also Madhubala gave me an opportunity to showcase my versatility as an actor.

What is the one thing you’ve learnt from Drashthi Dhami while shooting for the show?
She is very good co-star. One can learn something from every actor. In Drashthi’s case, I like her professionalism.

What’s the one thing you’d like to change about the television industry?
Though I am relatively new in the industry, I guess one thing, which is common across television shows, is the haphazard manner in which the shoots are managed. Here speed takes over creativity and that results in ordinary content. There is so much talent around which needs proper time to flourish. I would also like to suggest that there should be two mandatory holidays a week. We are in a creative field, but still end up working 360 days a year.

If God granted you three wishes, what would you ask for?
I’d ask for more power to help others, the liberty to eat chole bhature and gulab jamuns without putting on weight and the power to travel around the globe at my will.

Gunjan is a rather unisexual name. Does anyone ever get confused because of it?
Of course. There have been funny instances regarding my name. But the common comment which I get is, ‘it’s a beautiful name’. I believe the name is a parent’s first and most precious gift to his or her child. So I have stuck to it. Besides, I guess my parents always knew that my name will be echoed in this universe.

SC's 'third gender' verdict is historic: Gunjan Utreja
Tuesday morning in a landmark judgment, the Supreme Court created the "third gender" status for hijras or transgenders. Not only that, the apex court has also asked the Centre to treat transgenders as socially and economically backward.
We got in touch with Gunjan Utreja of Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon fame to know his view on the verdict on which he said, "That's great news. This Supreme Court verdict is quite historic and gives you an insight into India's progressive vision."

Gunjan also expressed, "I am happy with the verdict but now the onus is on the execution. An idea is as great as its execution."

Hope with this verdict, the transgenders gain their lost respect in society.

Ada Khan's 'Tamanna' track to end soon in Colors' Madhubala

The sexy and vivacious character of Tamanna was brought in Colors’ Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon (Nautanki Films) to add the needed spunk to the storyline. The character was supposed to be pitted against Abhay Kapoor (Gunjan Utreja), but certain creative changes turned her into Abhay’s ‘partner in crime’.

And now, with a major transformation happening in the plot with Sweety (Tanvi Thakkar) getting married to Abhay, Tamanna’s character has been side-lined.

And the outcome will be that the character will soon see its exit.

Yes, the talented Ada Khan will move out of the show. As per the track, she will be shown going back to USA, from where she came.

A source states, “This is the status quo with respect to Tamanna’s character as of now. However, you never know what will happen ahead. Also, the creative team has decided to bring in Leelavati (Swati Anand) into the thick of things, and she will stay back along with her daughter Sweety at Abhay’s house. And with this development happening, the need for Tamanna in the storyline has been pushed to the back burner. Also the theory of thought that the channel and maker had while taking this decision is that they already have negative characters in Abhay, Sweety and Leelavati to play an integral part in the drama ahead.”

When contacted, Ada said, “Yes, I have been informed that Tamanna’s character will end as of now. I don’t have any idea about the future.”

We also get to hear that the story has gone through a major change in the last few days. Earlier, everything was set for Abhay to marry Tamanna. But an overnight decision was made in which the channel and maker decided to bring in a strong performer in Tanvi Thakkar, so that the character of Sweety could marry Abhay.

We tried calling Producer Abhinav Shukla, but could not get his side of the story till the time we filed this article.

Let’s see how the drama will proceed in Madhubala post the union of Abhay and Sweety. As of now, it’s bye-bye to Ada Khan aka Tamanna!!

The superstar has announced his 38th birthday and promised to give everyone a big surprise

We told you earlier about Abhay Kapoor (Gunjan Utreja) getting married on his birthday and introducing his wife, Sweety (Tanvi Thakkar) to everyone.

This will come as a shock to Madhubala (Drashti Dhami), who had feelings for the dishy dude before getting married to Raj Kumar (Vivian DSena). Sweety – Bittuji (Indresh Malik) and Leela’s (Swati Anand) daughter will enter the Kapoor mansion to create trouble in Madhu’s life.

However, it will be Abhay’s stepmother, Pam (Deepshika Nagpal) and brother-in-law Nikhil, who will be in for a rude shock. For ages, the two have been planning to take over Abhay’s Rs 1000 crore property and divide it among themselves when he turns 38 and would still be unmarried. This was clause included by AK’s dad in the will. However, with Abhay getting married, Pam and Nikhil will be back to square one and will have to depend on Abhay for money.

Looks like Abhay’s 38th birthday party is going to rock everyone’s world. Don’t forget to catch the special episode of Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon on Colors at 8:30pm.
