Tuba Buyukustun and Engin Akyurek can have a huge impact with this series in the upcoming season.

Somehow, Ay Yapim always has an influence on the TV series season. They continued their success with Ask-i Memnu after “Yaprak Dokumu”. They were also able to produce long series like “Ezel” and “Fatmagul’un Sucu Ne?” which were watched by wider audience. Sometimes they did have mediocre success. However, all the news about the new TV series of this production firm is eagerly awaited by the majority of the viewers.

Karadayi is the first step of this awaiting. Uluc Bayraktar, Kenan Imirzalioglu, Cetin Tekindor, Yavuz Bingol, and Beguzar Korel; this is a like an all-star team. Ay Yapim is very successful in choosing the right series for the actors and actresses having the right energy between them. It is not a coincidence that Ay Yapim always chooses star actors/actresses. A successful story can only be introduced by the elements that make it watchable. Therefore, I believe Karadayi will be one of the TV series that will draw viewers’ attention.

“20 minutes” is the surprise of the season.

Last week, Ay Yapim’s another project was at the top of the agenda. It will be an adaptation from a movie named “The next three days” and it is going to be written by Kerem Deren in his remaining time after writing Ucurum.

The main characters of this movie are a married couple. While they live happily with their children, their happy life turns upside down after a murder. The wife ends up in prison and starts having very hard time there. The husband tries every possible way to save his wife. Actually, it has a very standard story line that Turkish viewers would like to watch in movie theaters. I don’t think it is very logical to make a TV Series from this movie. But if there is Kerem Deren writing this series, then it will be a different story. As I said before, the thing that will make this TV series watchable is its actors and actresses rather than the story itself.

We already know about the actress of this show. Tuba Buyukustun will be in a very different role that will make her in prison. This alone is a good reason for watching. You have to admit the fact that Tuba Buyukustun is among the special names that will make even a simple story watchable. She has a screen allure that the viewers like a lot. She is, like Beren Saat and Nurgul Yesilcay, among the actresses who are always at the forefront. Therefore, the viewers are always curious about her projects.

Tuba Buyukustun always chooses a role independent from the roles of her previous projects.

It is not surprising to see Tuba Buyukustun in this project. She enlivened a gipsy girl Hasret in her last TV show named “Gonul Celen” since she got bored playing the same characters all the time. She was a high society girl, a village girl, a stubborn and rebellious girl “Asi”, and now she will play a mother in prison. We see that she tries really hard to play characters that will make her put a lot of effort in acting. We can’t say that she is at the top of her acting skills but she is taking really big steps as a star who didn’t have background in acting.


Therefore, it is the right decision that Ay Yapim is going to work with Tuba Buyukustun. It is also important who will be her male partner to make this show successful. If they make a wrong choice, then it is very hard to make this show successful even with Tuba Buyukustun. Nowadays, we hear Engin Akyurek’s name as her male partner. We are not sure if this is correct, but if it is true then their fans will be very happy. I sometimes see special pages or works dedicated to this couple in social media sites. Actually, these are very important to measure viewers’ reaction. It is a good idea to check to see what people watch or who they match each other. This doesn’t undermine the success of the show; on the contrary, it ensures its success.

Engin Akyurek and Tuba Buyukustun are the candidates for being the TV couple of the year.

We don’t know if Engin Akyurek and Tuba Buyukustun will come together in this TV show; but there is not a single chance that this show will be unsuccessful if Engin Akyurek, Tuba Buyukustun, and Kerem Deren come together for this show. Star TV can probably give Kanal D very hard time with this show because it contains many elements that draw viewers’ attention.

It shows that this show will have high ratings and it will draw a lot of attention in the social media if these two players and this scenarist who have many fans in Turkey and abroad work together. And if we think from the media’s perspective, Engin Akyurek and Tuba Buyukustun are the candidates for being the most lovable TV couple of the year.

Let’s see if this couple can come together in the TV series named “20 Minutes”.

Tuba Buyukustun and Engin Akyurek: What a cute couple!

They match… Engin Akyurek and Tuba Buyukustun match each other on the same TV screen. We don’t have any more to say for Tuba because she has many good qualities. What about Engin Akyurek? I wrote about him in my article “Young men of our times” before. He is a man that I appreciate because of his personality as well as his acting skills. He impressed us in “Foreign Groom” and then he became famous with his role in “What is Fatmagul’s Fault?” However, he didn’t show up in popular places where well-known people went as the most famous people did. He didn’t become sensational because of his love life. He was always quiet and he always smiled. And therefore, fans of Engin Akyurek and Tuba Buyukustun are very similar to each other. In short, they match very well…

The name of the TV series that is going to be adapted from “The Next Three Days” is “20 minutes”. It is an action movie in which Russell Crowe and Olivia Wilde star. Its scenario is quite strong. Even though this is an action movie, it shows that a teacher faithful to his wife and who hasn’t very exciting job can do very extraordinary things to save his wife because of the power of his love. Yes there is an action on the surface, but the reason for this action is a husband who doesn’t want to get separated from his wife; a husband that doesn’t believe that his wife can commit a murder. When I think about the movie, I am very certain that Tuba Buyukustun and Engin Akyurek are going to be a perfect couple. If they change the script according to our culture during the adaption, this would be enough to make this series one of the essentials of the TV screen.

Actually, the majority of the fans don’t care about the series itself; they follow Engin and Tuba. But this series will be a special place in their career. And please mark my words!

I am looking forward to watch it in November.
