When it comes to entertainment, the charm of Bollywood stands invincible and telly actor Barun Sobti is someone who vouches for the same.

After having debuted in TV with Star Plus’ Shraddha, Barun Sobti turned a household name playing Shravan in Sony TV’s Baat Hamari Pakki Hai. However, it won’t be an exaggeration of sorts if we say that it’s Star Plus’ Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon which has given him the real star status in tellywood. And his character of Arnav Singh Rayzada has made him an object of fascination for all. His on-screen chemistry with Sanaya Irani aka Khushi has stood as the icing on cake.

The hot chap is now heading towards his next phase, which he calls his obvious destination. As known, Barun has recently wrapped up the shoot of his debut Bollywood venture Main Aur Mr. Right. And the actor is quite excited about this change in his professional life. He says, "Bollywood is the next obvious step. However, I haven't really thought whether I want to continue or quit television."

When asked about how he deals with the immense fan following he has especially of the female ones, Barun said, "It doesn't bother me much. I am a happily married man! I smile at my fans, give autographs and let them click photographs with me. That is all."

He even stated that he is very well aware of the fact that being in an entertainment industry, link up news is bound to follow one but he says that he is not worried about them as his wife shares a good rapport with all of his co-stars.

It was earlier reported that Daljeet Bhanot who is playing the role of Anjali and the sister of Arnav Singh Raizada will leave Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon.

Now, buzz is that Daljeet Bhanot decided to continue her character as Anjali in the show. Daljeet thinks herself lucky to get a very supportive production house and casts.

However, she was supposed to join another show but she realized that the future track of Anjali in Iss Pyaar Ko will have a lot of drama and will focus to her. So, she is not able to do another show.

Anjali and Arnav always share a great bonding of brother and sister and upcoming track will show a different emotional bonding of them after seeing evil side of her husband Shyam.

A couple of weeks ago, in Star Plus’s popular soap Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?, a bone-tired but determined Arnav, played by television’s latest heartthrob Barun Sobti, takes on the goons who have kidnapped him, fighting them off relentlessly, even while he is blindfolded and his hands are tied behind.

The camera clearly knows what it should focus on and it does so in style — it caresses Sobti’s bulging biceps, sweeps over his dishevelled locks and zooms in on his smouldering eyes in what is clearly soapland’s very own seeti maro moment.

But the real whistle is being blown by Bollywood for television stars like Barun and several others — the new and, dare we say, lucky recruits, for whom seeking out new pastures does not necessarily mean abandoning their old abodes. These are the brave new trendsetters who are successfully straddling both the television and film worlds — a feat unthinkable a few years ago.
