We hear that the Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon star is gearing up for his big filmi debut soon, but is also thinking about doing a new TV show….

Remember Barun Sobti? Yeah, the dishy dude who starred with Sanaya Irani (Rangrasiya) in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. The same actor because of whom the show shut shop – there were so many protests when he quit that the makers brought the serial to an abrupt end. After he decided that there was more to life than television, Barun worked in a movie called Main Aur Mr Right, co-starring Shenaz Treasurywala and others. But the film was not released, rumouredly for financial reasons – there were no takers for it. But now we hear that it may actually hit the big screen this year in April, which means that Barun and his career will come unstuck and we see more of the lad.

But what is even more exciting is the rumour that floated right in through our wide open window. A busy little birdie insists that while our man is concentrating on movie projects and is on the verge of signing up to do more big screen work, he is no longer averse to making an appearance on TV, as long as the role is substantial and the character a guaranteed hot-seller. If that happens, will he find his former spot on top of the small screen ladder, the one he vacated so suddenly? Or will he be thrown into the middle of the herd and need to battle to regain his one-time glory? We wait to find out. Until then, we wish Barun all the best for Main Aur Mr Right…

ndian Television’s hot hunk, Barun Sobti, who decided to test waters by making a foray into Bollywood, is contemplating his TV comeback.

Yes, we are talking about the same guy who had quit Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon co-starring Sanaya Irani, in the middle of his high flying TV career. According to an online entertainment tabloid. Barun is now rethinking going back to his roots, or so to say.

Barun did a movie called Main Aur Mr. Right with VJ, anchor and actress Shenaz Treasurywala but the film never saw daylight because of financial woes. But it seems that now Barun’s efforts re about to reap results as his debut film might get released in April this year.

And, like we mentioned about, another interesting rumour that is trending these days is that Barun might take on a TV role provided it is good and promising. Nothing less than the best for this TV star, you see.

So if all goes well, and a good role comes his way, who know, you may see your favourite Barun Sobti once again on your TV screens.

Saurabh Tewari’s Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon on Colors is gaining all the limelight of late, with viewers expecting few big guns to enter the show to add to the drama in the post leap phase of story telling.

While reports of Deepshika Nagpal, Kishwer Merchantt and Fenil Umrigar’s entry has already been reported in media circles, we have a bit more information on the addition to the cast.

Talented actress Utkarsha Naik who essayed the role of Manorama in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon has been roped in to play a pivotal role. Paired opposite her will be Rajesh Balwani who is presently seen in Life OK’s Kaisa Yeh Ishq Hai.. Ajab Sa Risk Hai. Also, seasoned actress Neelu Kohli who was last seen on Colors in Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha will have a very important role to essay.

A reliable source tells us that Deepshika who will play mother to the super star Abhay Kapoor (Gunjan Utreja) will be an out and out negative lady. For a change, Utkarsha will play a completely positive role, that of the ‘chachi’ to Abhay who is more like a mother to him. Rakesh Balwani will play Abhay’s ‘chacha’. Neelu Kohli will be the head of Abhay’s family, and will be fondly called Beeji by one and all. Neelu will again essay a positive character, who will be very affectionate towards Abhay.

As per reports, Kishwer will play the wife of Nikhil Lamba (Puneet Sachdev). Fenil has been roped in to play the parallel lead on the show, which will be that of wife to Abhay.

When contacted, Utkarsha said, “Talks are certainly on, but nothing is final as of now. I am waiting to know from them.”

Neelu Kohli though confirmed her entry in Madhubala saying, “Yes, I will be heading Abhay’s family. This is all that I can say at the moment.”

We could not get through to Rakesh Balwani to get his confirmation.

Our efforts to reach Producer Saurabh Tewari were in vain.

The leading actress of very famous Marathi show Devyani which airs on Star Pravah Deepali Pansare is getting married soon. After Shashank -Tejashree marriage, its Deepali’s turn now.

Deepali Pansare is getting married this month to her boyfriend Suveer Safaya,who is a banker. She is going to tie knot with Saveer in tourist favorite place Jammu city on 10th February 2014. It is going to be a traditional Kashmiri style Shaadi as her boyfriend is Kashmiri Pandit. So this is going to be a mix of both style Kasmiri as well as Maharashtrian.

The wedding functions will begin in Jammu from February 7 and Deepali will be reaching the venue on February 9, just a day before the wedding. Deepali is going to take long leave for her wedding as she did many hard work before her marriage. She will be back on Devyani shooting from same month or next month. As of now the honeymoon plan of the couple is not known.

So lets wish Deepali and Saveer very best luck for their new inning of life.

Seems like this dishy dude’s wait for his big break in Bollywood is finally over!

Barun Sobti had left Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon quite sometime back forcing the producers to discontinue the show because the fans refused to accept anybody else in that role. It’s been two years since that happened, but Barun failed to make any grand appearances on the silver screen.

However, if a recent khabar is to be believed then this dishy dude has been cast in a John Abraham Productions. Now there has been no official announcement yet, but hey, we do have our reliable sources. One of these reliable sources said, “Though two of his films are stuck in the cans, he has now been cast in a John Abraham production. But this time around, he is keeping mum about the same.”

Yes, when the source told us that he had already worked for two films, we got all curious and dug up some info about his work. Well sadly for him, the hunkalicious dude has worked in Adeeb Rais’s film Main Aur Mr. Riight, co-starring Shenaz Treasurywala which never hit the screens; and Mitali Ghosal’s 22 Yards, which has been delayed.

With that kinda jinxed entry in Bollywood, we sure hope that this venture with John turns out to be a boon for his dipping career. Fingers crossed!

There are moments when you encounter your beautiful past and the same happened when Sanaya Irani and Barun Sobti, the leading cast of Star Plus' Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon reunited at Daljeet Bhanot's baby shower. It has been quite some time of Daljeet and Shaleen being blessed with a baby boy, but nostalgia reached its peak when Daljeet posted these pictures of her baby shower on her Twitter profile. Among the guests were Sanaya Irani and better half Mohit Sehgal, Barun Sobti along with his beautiful wife, Akshay Dogra, Abhas Mehta and others. What caught the attention of everyone was the reunion of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon stars Sanaya and Barun after a very long time. As the first season of IPKKND got over, there was a change in the cast of the show and both the lead characters were replaced. They emerged as one of the most romantic and famous on screen jodis on Indian television playing Arnav and Khushi. In the past, there was a lot being talked about Barun having problems with Sanaya, but all of this was rubbished by both the stars and they declared it to the world that they are good friends.

Forts de l’expérience acquise, les acteurs et les producteurs de télévision ont démarré des discussions pour signer un Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) pour éviter des problèmes qui sont devenus très courants pendant le tournage des feuilletons télévisés.
Ces derniers temps, plusieurs producteurs ont été financièrement affectés quand des acteurs ont abandonné leurs séries télévisées pour diverses raisons. Les observateurs sont d’avis que cela apportera un peu plus de discipline chez les acteurs et les producteurs de télévision.

Il y a plusieurs raisons pour lesquelles des artistes quittent des shows télévisés. Ces artistes, souvent des inconnus, deviennent populaires grâce à ces feuilletons télévisés. L’ironie est qu’ils abandonnent ces mêmes shows pour poursuivre leurs rêves à Bollywood où ils sont attirés pour des offres alléchantes. Un exemple est Barun Sobti, l’acteur devenu populaire du jour au lendemain pour son rôle d’Arnav Singh Raizada dans le feuilleton fort apprécié, « Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon ». Il a pris ses distances de cette série après qu’il a été approché par un producteur de Bollywood.

Le dernier épisode d’« Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon » a été projeté en Inde le 30 novembre 2012. La seconde saison, « Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon...Ek Baar Phir », a été tourné sans Barun Sobti.
Le Memorandum of Understanding – à être signé par les acteurs et les producteurs d’un show télévisé – empêchera les acteurs à abandonner un feuilleton avant au moins un an. Cependant la CINTAA, qui regroupe les artistes, ne partage pas cet avis. Le contrat doit avoir une « exit clause » – ce qui permettra à un acteur de quitter le show. Cela aidera à la mobilité des acteurs.

L’acteur Ejaz Khan insiste pour qu’un délai minimum de deux mois soit accordé au producteur pour lui permettre d’apporter des changements dans le feuilleton. De la même façon, un producteur qui a signé un acteur pour 25 jours, doit lui offrir au moins 15 jours de travail pour ne pas gaspiller ses dates. De plus, les producteurs doivent payer les artistes à temps.

Television actor Barun Sobti, who was last seen in the Star Plus show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, has apparently been signed for a film

Television actor Barun Sobti, who was last seen in the Star Plus show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, has apparently been signed for a film, under John Abraham’s production house. Sobti has already shot for a film titled Main Aur Mr Riight, which was his debut venture in the industry. While the film was expected to release early this year, there’s still no confirmation on the film’s release date. Even before his first film hits the marquee, Sobti already seems to have moved ahead, and bagged a role in Abraham’s production venture. When contacted, Sobti refused to divulge anything, “Nothing has been finalised as yet. It’s too early to talk about it.”
Earlier Abraham’s production house had launched another television face, Ayushmann Khurrana into films. Meanwhile, when asked about the release of Main Aur Mr Riight, Sobti said, “I’m not too sure about it, since nothing is confirmed as of now, but it may release in mid-2014.” This film stars Shenaz Treasurywala and Kavi Shashtri with Sobti.

Rahul Rawail looks for his lead at Silicon Valley

Director Rahul Rawail was in the Silicon Valley to attend the Mr. & Miss South Asia 2014 pageant where he was to scout for some fresh faces for his upcoming film Love Story Again. To be shot in exotic foreign locales, the love story will also star Anushka Ranjan, Rishi Kapoor, Dolly Ahluwalia and others. Binod Pradhan is the cameraman and Rakesh Ranjan is the sound recordist. When going to press, Rawail was not reachable as he hadn’t returned from the US.
