Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon gets an extension!
Madhubala off air on 9 August

Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon has got an extension for one month, say sources.

The daily soap, which was supposed to go off air on July 12, will now air its last episode on August 9. "The show which was supposed to replace Madhubala isn't ready till now and that's why this extension has been granted," says a source.

Nautanki Films' popular show Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon on Colors though has been dipping on the TRP charts but is very much popular amongst the viewers for the magnetic chemistry of the lead actors RK (Vivian Dsena) and Madhu (Drashti Dhami).
While there was news doing the rounds for quite sometime now that the show might go off air due to low TRPs and failing to grab the attention of the viewers, but it seems that the speculations have been put to rest as it has been given an extension till the month of August.
According to our sources, "The show is getting an extension till 9th August because it is doing good TRP wise and an upcoming show produced by Gurodev Bhalla and Dhawal Gada's Udaan Sapnon Ki might replace the show Madhubala."

"Since Udaan Sapnon Ki is not ready to go on the floors, so Madhubala will continue to air its episodes till the extended period," adds the source.
Talking about the show our source says, "Udaan Sapnon Ki is the show about few kids working as laborers in the small village of UP (Uttar Pradesh). This show gives a social message to stop child labor. It features actors like Suhani Mulay, Sai Ballal, Prachee Pathak."

The show finally got an extension by the enormous requests of its fans on Twitter. The show has reportedly going to end on 12th July 2014, being replaced by Shastri Sisters, but the latter was given the 7pm slot, as the makers of Madhubala have decided to go by the mass appeal to unite RK and Madhu, by making them lovers again. Coming to the current track, Madhu was shocked when she knew she is pregnant and regarded the child to be the rape symbol which will always remind her of that dark night of her life. She decided to abort the baby. RK left it on her as she has more rights over the child, and promised that he won’t do anything wrong and never touch a gun again in his life.

Madhu meets a saint in a temple who tells her how her mum and her grandmum have risked their lives to save their children and she is giving up so easily. Madhu realizes her mistake and comes back home to tell everyone that she will not abort the baby. RK is super glad and Dau ji blesses her. Agni and Tara join up Bhanu again to kill Madhu, RK and their unborn child. Bhanu asks them to arrange a Godh Bharai function where he will peep in the house silently and do his work, as he has already escaped from the jail.

Dau ji and Madhu agree for the function. Madhu lays a condition to Dau ji that he should get Falguni remarried, to which he refuses as its against his family traditions. RK supports Madhu and speaks in favor of Falguni Bhabhi, asking Dau ji to do his duties being a father in law. Dau ji agrees and Madhu and RK are happy. Falguni requests Madhu to start a new life with RK, by forgiving him, as what he did was his mistake, being influenced by the tablet Bhanu mixed in his drink and urged him to show his manhood on her that night. She tells Madhu not to make the child away from his father’s love, as RK will love his child a lot. Madhu agrees and says she will sit in the Godh Bharai (baby shower function) with her husband RK, being his wife by heart.

RK is happy and thanks her. He apologizes to her for that night. She tells him that he won’t be forgiven all his life, as its very tough for him. RK tells her that he will apologize all his life, till she forgives him, as he does not want her to forgive him on Falguni’s insistence. He wants her to forgive her by her own heart and decision. Madhu finally smiles knowing RK really regrets and is finally changing. So, Madhu’s smile brings a new hope in their married life. You all have seen on season 2 of Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon the similarities like on the first season….well not only RK but Madhubala self was attempted by murder and faces many times!

Now seems that the Producers are going on the same direction with season 2.

The things finally started to settle down in Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon.

Madhubala aka Drashti Dhami has decided to keep her baby and is willing to work the problems out between her and Raja aka Vivian Dsena.

Unfortunately, Bhanu (Jaswant Menaria) is able to get out of jail by escape and his first stop is at Raja’s mansion.

He comes with a gun and a plan to murder Madhu but the thing is that he don’t want to do it immediately. He plans the things very well before reaching on RK’s house!

Raja had vowed that he would not pick up guns anymore. Knowing that, Bhanu taunts Raja and his family and asks him about how he will be able to save Madhu without picking up a gun now?

The things seems are going seriously now!

Bhanu had made a very smart move by kidnapping Madhu, neither more nor less on the her’s Chawl knowing that no one will think of this about!

Well seems the evils plans of Bhanu to work along with his partner Agni which is no more than his sister in law!

Raja’s family still is unaware about Agni’s intentions, they saw the real face of Bhanu but of her still not!

'Madhubala' gets a months extension, likely to go off air in August

For all the loyal fans of Colors most popular show Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon there’s a latest update for the viewers that the makers of the show, who were all set to shut down the show on July 12 have now revoked the plan.

Reportedly, the show was set for a closure to make way for Shakuntalam Telefilms’ upcoming venture 'Shastri Sisters' on Colors.

If sources are to be believed, "Makers of Madhubala have bagged a small extension as the channel has now decided to slot Shastri Sisters at the 7 pm."

Hence, 'Madhubala' has been retained for the moment, as the next fiction launch on Colors is not yet ready.

A source close to the channel states that the promo of 'Shastri Sisters' taking the 7 pm slot has been on air. Guruodev Bhalla and Dhawal Gada’s upcoming show 'Udaan Sapnon Ki' might be the next launch on Colors. However, the show is not yet ready. And this explains the extension of ‘Madhubala’. The popular Vivian Dsena - Drashti Dhami soap will now be stretched till August second week.

'Madhubala' has not been raking numbers ever since the generation leap happened. The makers were finding way to regain the popularity and TRP's of their show couldn't work out, even the return of Vivian to the show did not help the ratings.

Here we are talking about vivacious Vivian Dsena and gregarious Gautam Rode.

Vivian’s current show on Colors, Madhubala, will soon wrap up which will again make him available for other producers to sign him.

And he has already got a shout out from Sphere Origins. Yes, Sphere’s ongoing show on Star Plus Saraswatichandra will witness major changes with its lead man Gautam dying.

There has also been a constant buzz of the epic love story featuring Jennifer Winger as Kumud reaching its end.

But what grips the creative team are dubious clouds of uncertainty.

Cuts in a source: “People have always talked about the show. Lot was written about the production swap from Sanjay Leela Bhansali to Sphere. Now, Rode, in most probability, will move out of the show. The makers intend to rope in another popular face. But with rumours of the serial going off air floating around, everyone is reluctant to take up the project.”

We have learnt that the creatives from the production side will soon have a meeting with the channel officials to take a definite call on future plot progression.

“Nothing is clear as of now. Even if Gautam moves out of Saraswatichandra, the channel is keen to retain him. Hence he has been offered Mahakumbh on Life OK. But that will take some time to go on air. So let’s see if Rode decides to stay on or move out,” added the same source.

Well, we will keep an eye on the development at that front.

Coming back to Vivian, our sources shared that he has gone on to reject the offer to replace Rode as he wants to take up a fresh show not an existing one.

Producer Sunjoy Wadhwa (Sphere), Vivian and Gautam remained unavailable for comment.
